Our specialised Summer courses are designed to cater for young adults and children who want to combine a fun filled cultural stay with an educational base. Learning English is the main focus at all times at Greystones Language School.
Students spend their mornings in class (classes have a maximum of 15 students) improving reading, writing and listening skills. Classes are structured so that each student’s potential is reached in a fun and educational environment. Students will participate in role-plays, English games, reading and listening exercises. All teachers are full-qualified (T.E.F.L teachers). Students may choose to have extra private tuition on a one to one basis with a teacher.
The school provides all materials. Students are given a welcome pack with maps of the area and information on Wicklow and all the cultural locations they will be visiting. Placement tests are given on the first day to assess the students level of English.
Students will be taken on a half day excursion each week to a variety of historical and interesting places such as Glendalough, Avoca Woollen Mills, ‘Meeting of the Waters’ and Powerscourt Gardens. Each Saturday the students will go on a full day excursion. These excursions combine site seeing and leisure time. Wicklow Town is an ideal location for this programme due to its close proximity to Dublin and many other places of interest. Some evening activities are organised for the students such as discos, traditional Irish music and dancing
